Expanding component support for Airbus A320 and A330 in Xiamen

HAECO has entered into a new component maintenance agreement with Safran Electronics & Defense Actuation Systems to support Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft through the provision of repair and overhaul services for flight control and actuation components in Xiamen. The collaboration will strengthen support for airline operators across the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership combines Safran’s advanced technologies with HAECO’s proven engineering expertise to deliver world-class maintenance solutions for Airbus A320 and A330 fleets. It also marks a further strengthening of the long-standing partnership between the two companies, enhancing reliability and operational performance for operators across the region. The agreement builds on HAECO’s existing collaborations with Safran, including developing maintenance capabilities for the COMAC C919 evacuation slide with Safran Aerosystems and supporting the installation of the Reverse Bleed System on LEAP engines with Safran Aircraft Engines, further demonstrating a shared commitment to high-quality, innovative maintenance solutions.

HAECO delivers its first CF34-10A engine

HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) (HES), the sole GBSA licence holder for CF34-10A in the Greater China region, has successfully completed the delivery of its first CF34-10A engine on 28 April 2026.   Following approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for CF34-10A capability in January 2026, HES has extended its engine maintenance services to Chengdu Airlines. With strong support and close collaboration from Chengdu Airlines, HES successfully redelivered the first advanced 18,000-pound thrust-class turbofan engine.  HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) is The Holder of a GE90 GE Branded Services Agreement and an Authorized GE90 Service Provider, and has built a strong reputation for technical excellence, having delivered more than 1,100 GE90 engines to date. The addition of CF34-10A capability reflects HAECO’s continued investment in serving the evolving needs of the Chinese aviation market and a significant milestone in the company's strategic expansion of its engine overhaul capabilities.  In addition to shop-visit overhauls, HES offers a comprehensive range of on-wing and near-wing support services for CF34-10A engines, with spare engine lease services planned for the near future. HES is also further scaling its capacity for the overhaul and repair of GE90, CF34-10A, GP7200, and GE9X with a new 10,000-square-metre facility, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.

HAECO makes strong debut at MRO Greater China

HAECO made a strong impression at the inaugural MRO Greater China, held in Beijing from 26 to 28 May. We unveiled a new booth design that created a fresh, welcoming space for meaningful conversations and relationship-building. At the event, our team engaged with senior representatives from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and China Aviation Supplies Company (CASC), alongside a constant stream of airline customers and industry partners.  The show proved to be a valuable platform for fostering business partnerships, as we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fly Meta Group and Central Airlines on-site. We also used this industry platform to advance strategic initiatives. For example, Tom Owen, our Group Director Corporate Development, met with officials from the Xiamen Free Trade Zone to explore future collaboration opportunities. As an inaugural show for Greater China, MRO Greater China also provided an opportunity for HAECO to build strong visibility. Alex Chen, Group General Manager, Digital and Technology, spoke at a conference session on digital transformation, showcasing how we are enhancing planning, execution and operational visibility through data-driven maintenance. Andrew Lin, Senior Vice President, Corporate Sales, Chinese Mainland, joined a panel discussion exploring ways to strengthen supply chain resilience through closer integration with partners.  We extend our thanks to our colleagues from across HAECO’s operating companies, whose collective efforts delivered a standout presence and enabled meaningful engagement throughout the show. The connections made in Beijing will support the continued strengthening of partnerships and drive sustainable growth across the region.

HAECO Heroes celebrate a night to remember

In May, more than 2,300 colleagues, guests and business partners gathered for HAECO Hong Kong’s Annual Dinner, an evening dedicated to appreciation, connection and celebration.  Held under the theme “HAECO Heroes”, the event recognised the dedication, teamwork and professionalism of our people, whose contributions keep our operations running smoothly every day.  The evening featured themed games, live performances and opportunities for colleagues across different teams to reconnect and celebrate as One HAECO. Guests received a plush toy keychain representing the One HAECO behaviours — we lead, we listen and we understand — while a dedicated appreciation booth invited colleagues to write thank-you cards to recognise one another’s contributions.  Thank you to every colleague—our HAECO Heroes—for the professionalism, teamwork and care you bring to HAECO throughout the year. It is this collective spirit, celebrated at our annual dinner, that keeps us moving forward stronger as one team.

Bringing sustainability to life on World Environment Day

To mark World Environment Day, HAECO Xiamen and HAECO Hong Kong engaged colleagues through a range of activities that highlighted environmental protection and the company’s sustainability efforts. In HAECO Xiamen, around 40 employees took part in activities held in two sessions on 9 and 11 June, combining guided briefings with on-site visits. Participants were introduced to HAECO Group’s 2030 sustainability targets before touring key facilities, where they saw how environmental management is embedded in daily operations. From the cooling water recycling system, which saves 15,000 tonnes of water annually, to the reclaimed water reuse system and photovoltaic power generation, the programme showcased how day-to-day systems contribute to meaningful environmental impact. Employees also observed wastewater treatment processes and waste management practices, gaining a deeper understanding of how emissions and waste are carefully managed across operations. In Hong Kong, colleagues marked the occasion with a Sustainable Development film appreciation session focused on local marine biodiversity. The documentary highlighted oyster reefs and their role in water purification, marine habitats and coastal protection, offering a meaningful opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of Hong Kong’s marine ecosystem and reflect on how they can contribute to environmental protection in their daily lives. Together, these activities reinforced HAECO’s commitment to sustainable development and encouraged colleagues to play their part in building a more sustainable future.
