HAECO and China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC), a leading aircraft full life-cycle solutions provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic framework for developing an engine lifecycle support platform in Hong Kong. The collaboration supports the continued development of Hong Kong as a leading international aviation hub through high value-added aviation services.

Under the agreement, the two companies will explore the development of an engine quick-turn platform in Hong Kong, initially focusing on quick-turn services, hospital repair and engine asset management. The partnership will also seek to optimise the utilisation of used serviceable materials (USM), enhance value across the aircraft lifecycle, and strengthen supply chain resilience.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by senior representatives from the HKSAR Government, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, the Civil Aviation Department (CAD), Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), Swire Group, China Everbright Group, the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), the Hong Kong Aircraft USM Industry Task Force and other industry stakeholders, underscoring the strategic importance of the collaboration and a shared commitment to strengthening Hong Kong’s position as a leading international aviation hub.
