The HAECO Group has announced a number of senior management changes at its Airframe Services division to enhance its commitment to providing customers with leading MRO services.

Following Ms. Jacqueline Jiang’s move within the Swire group to the role of Chair, Chinese Mainland of John Swire & Sons (China) Ltd, Mr. Ben Scheidel will succeed her and join the HAECO Group leadership team as Group Director, Airframe Services, effective 1st September 2024. In this role, Mr. Scheidel will have overall responsibility for the group’s Airframe Services activity globally. He brings extensive industry experience and a proven track record in driving operational excellence, which will make him a great success in the position, building on Ms. Jiang’s work over past years. The HAECO Group thanks Ms. Jiang for her contributions to the company and look forward to working with her in her new group capacity.

With Mr. Scheidel moving into a HAECO Group role, Mr. Peter Murton will succeed him as Chief Executive Officer of HAECO Hong Kong, and Mr. Derek Hui will take over as the new Executive General Manager, Operations, overseeing base and line maintenance services in Hong Kong. Mr. Murton and Mr. Hui have broad experience in Airframe services, particularly within HAECO Hong Kong’s operations, and this expertise will serve them well in their new capacities, which also take effect on 1st September 2024.

Mr. Bill Collins, President of MRO Services in HAECO Americas, will retire from the HAECO Group at year-end. Mr. Todd Navin, the current Chief Financial Officer at HAECO Americas, will succeed Mr. Collins effective January 2025. Mr. Collins has led the business well during his tenure, guiding it through the Covid-19 pandemic and back to growth, supported by key airline partners. The HAECO Group wishes him well in his next chapter and are confident that Mr. Navin will take the business forward in the years to come.

Mr. Ben Scheidel

Mr. Ben Scheidel has been appointed as the new Group Director of Airframe Services at HAECO Group, effective 1st September 2024. In this role, he will oversee the group's airframe services in Hong Kong, Xiamen in the Chinese Mainland, as well as Greensboro, North Carolina and Lake City, Florida in the U.S. Mr. Scheidel is currently the Chief Executive Officer of HAECO Hong Kong, where he leads the company's base and line maintenance activities in Hong Kong and responsible for driving its strategic growth. Before joining HAECO, Mr. Scheidel held various leadership positions within the Lufthansa Group across Europe, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, and Mainland China, bringing extensive experience in the aviation industry to his new role.

Mr. Peter Murton

Mr. Peter Murton has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of HAECO Hong Kong, effective 1st September 2024. Mr. Murton joined HAECO in 2011 and has held several leadership positions within the company, overseeing operations across different functions and locations, including his current role as Executive General Manager of Operations in Hong Kong where he manages HAECO's base and line maintenance operations. Mr. Murton joined Swire in 2007 and has gained extensive experience in the aviation industry both in the Chinese Mainland and in the U.S. over the years. 

Mr. Todd Navin

Mr. Todd Navin has been appointed as the President of MRO Services at HAECO Americas, effective 1st January 2025. In this role, he will lead HAECO's MRO operations across its facilities in Greensboro, North Carolina and Lake City, Florida in the U.S. Mr. Navin currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HAECO Americas. He brings extensive industry experience into his new role, having previously held leadership roles at Rolls-Royce and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL), which has provided him with a deep understanding of the aviation MRO sector and the experience to drive continuous improvement and growth.
