HAECO, a leading global aircraft engineering solutions provider, has signed a new agreement with PAL Express (PALEX) to provide base maintenance services for its narrowbody fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft starting in 2025. This maintenance work, which includes up to D-checks, will take place at HAECO’s world-class facility at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.
In addition to this inaugural agreement between HAECO and PALEX—a sister company of Philippine Airlines (PAL)—HAECO has also expanded its collaboration with the PAL Group to include base maintenance for PAL’s Boeing 777 fleet. This builds on a recent agreement for similar services for its Airbus A321 aircraft. Since beginning its partnership with PAL in 1999, HAECO has successfully redelivered more than 44 aircraft to PAL, the majority being the Boeing 777.
“We are very pleased to secure our first base maintenance contract with PALEX and to expand our services to PAL’s Boeing 777 fleet, which we have been redelivering since 1999. As PAL’s base maintenance provider in Xiamen for over two decades, HAECO has consistently delivered exceptional reliability and flexibility in turnaround times, reinforcing the strong foundation of trust we have built with our customer,” said Gerald Steinhoff, Chief Commercial Officer of HAECO.
“We look forward to this new partnership with HAECO, in enhancing the maintenance of our Airbus A320/A321 fleet which is the backbone of our domestic flights,” said Rabbi Vincent Ang, PAL Express President. “We expect that this partnership will uphold the overall reliability of our fleet and at the same time help deliver a more positive experience to our passengers.”
