In support of China’s “Dual Carbon” strategy and the HAECO Group’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions by 40% by 2030 under our sustainable development roadmap, HAECO Xiamen furthered its carbon-reduction quest by organising two mountain cleanup activities in December 2025.

Over 30 participants set out along the scenic Xianlingqi trail in Xiamen, an ideal route for enjoying the outdoors and reconnecting with nature. After reaching the summit, the group took on the important task of collecting litter along the descent. They collected all kinds of waste—from cigarette butts and plastic bags to unopened beverage bottles and other unexpected items to protect these beautiful natural surroundings.

Meanwhile, over 40 colleagues and their family members from HAECO Hong Kong participated in the annual “Hike for Future” event, showing their appreciation for Hong Kong’s green landscapes by cleaning up 7 km of trails around Mount Parker and Tai Tam Reservoir. The group also visited the Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre, where they learned more about local biodiversity and the importance of preserving natural assets in a city enriched by precious wildlife.

Together, these activities reflect HAECO’s commitment to environmental protection, encouraging our people and communities to take meaningful action towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.
