At HAECO, caring for people means supporting both physical and mental well-being. In early March, a 1.5-day workshop in Hong Kong, “Building a Culture of Mental Awareness and Support,” was hosted for graduates of the HAECO Leadership Development Programme (HLDP) Cohort 2024 to strengthen mental health awareness and equip future leaders to support their teams.

With external health experts from the Christian Family Service Centre, participants explored psychological safety and practical ways to look after wellbeing at work and at home. The programme covered diet and cardiovascular health, sleep quality, and day-to-day strategies for managing stress, while reinforcing the importance of an open and supportive environment where people feel safe to speak up.

Jodi Kwok, General Manager of Human Resources of HAECO Hong Kong, underscored the importance of nurturing a speak-up culture—where people lead with compassion and look out for one another—helping to build a workplace community that prioritises everyone’s mental wellbeing.
