I came to Hong Kong for my undergraduate studies in 2018, majoring in Electronics and Information Engineering. After graduation I was looking for a role that would allow me to explore my interest in aviation while still using elements of my education. HAECO's Graduate Trainee (GT) Programme was the perfect way to kickstart my career due to the way it is structured, the numerous avenues to learn and grow, and the chance to look up to the industry's best as mentors.

My first impression of HAECO was its nurturing culture. A "can do" spirit is so evident among everyone in the company and it shines through to any new joiner. Sticking together through the pandemic and striving hard to confront the challenges really helped to fuel my passion to work here.

I mostly work on a range of operational transformation and digitisation projects in Business Improvement and I was pleasantly surprised to be entrusted with ownership very early on, and to be given the chance to use my ability to think critically and find innovative solutions. I also took up the role of Co-chairperson of the HAECO Ethnicity Network and it’s exciting to champion the cause of diversity and inclusion.

HAECO puts a lot of focus on continuous improvement and adopting the latest technology for growth. I want to take the opportunity to learn and grow with HAECO to a position of strategic leadership. I love the flexibility of the GT programme and look forward to being able to work in different operating sectors and locations. This organisation is very employee-focused, and the values of care and kindness are mirrored in its people, creating a very positive and nurturing work environment.
