Bryan Scott is quick to tell his team about the importance of their work, often reminding them that ‘nothing we do is insignificant.’ It’s often his closing remark at team meetings, after emphasizing the critical role each team member plays in keeping themselves and the flying public safe.

In his role as Vice President, Safety and Quality at HAECO Americas, Bryan is focused on ensuring safety in all aspects of our operations and delivering the highest quality service to our customers. His work epitomizes two of HAECO’s core values in the pursuit of excellence.

Named Distinguished Engineer of the Year through the National Society for Black Engineers and being recognized by Marquis Who’s Who, Bryan boasts a list of notable professional accomplishments throughout his career. His passion for aviation was first ignited when he served as crew chief and aircraft maintenance specialist in the U.S. Air Force.

Since devoting himself to the industry, Bryan has implemented world class safety and environmental sustainability programmes in his tenure with Boeing. He also championed the optimization of healthcare data systems while serving as vice president of government affairs for Cerner Corporation.

One of Bryan’s secrets to success is his servant leadership approach, which prioritizes empowerment and authenticity. “My leadership approach is not one of command and control, but more of a collaborative, supportive leadership that empowers the members of the team to lead and succeed,” he explains.

In fact, Bryan says his proudest moments centers around the achievements of those he has mentored. “In my almost 30-year career, there are a lot of stories and people who had trouble with their careers and didn’t have mentorship, and I was glad I was able to help them. Some of them ended up being stellar leaders, and I’m most proud of that,” he confides.
