HAECO, a leading global provider of aircraft engineering and maintenance services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the inaugural MRO Greater China in Beijing with Fly Meta Group to advance strategic collaboration across a range of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, supporting the growth of Fly Meta’s widebody freighter operations globally.

Under the agreement, HAECO and Fly Meta will work towards developing a long-term partnership leveraging HAECO’s comprehensive maintenance network and technical capabilities. The collaboration will focus on key areas including airframe maintenance, line maintenance, engine services, landing gear maintenance, composite materials services, as well as component maintenance and repair for Fly Meta’s Boeing 747F and 777F freighter fleet.

Engine support stands at the core of this collaboration. HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen), the Holder of a GE90 GE Branded Services Agreement and an Authorized GE90 Service Provider, is expected to provide GE90 engine repair, overhaul, on-wing support services, and spare engine support. Services on multiple GE90 engines are expected to commence in the second half of 2026 when a multi-year Engine Service Agreement is formalised.

Both parties will also explore opportunities to expand collaboration in airframe maintenance services in Hong Kong, Xiamen and across the Greater China region to support the continuous growth of Fly Meta’s fleet. HAECO currently provides line maintenance support to more than 140 airlines worldwide through a network of 19 line maintenance stations located across Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
