HAECO and Central Airlines today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the inaugural MRO Greater China in Beijing to develop a sustainable and strategic partnership focused on achieving win–win business solutions for the airline’s Boeing 777 freighter fleet.

Central Airlines is a fast-growing cargo carrier in China and continues to expand its fleet and network to meet rising demand in the cargo market. Under the MOU, both parties will explore cooperation across airframe maintenance, line maintenance, engine overhaul and on-wing support, landing gear maintenance, and component repair by leveraging HAECO’s maintenance network and technical resources.

Subject to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the MOU outlines a framework for deeper collaboration in three key areas: GE90 engine services, airframe services and component maintenance support for Central Airlines’ Boeing 777 freighter fleet. The partnership is aimed at supporting Central Airlines’ continued fleet growth while strengthening its operational reliability and long-term maintenance planning.

In engine services, HAECO will draw on its existing GE90 capabilities to support Central Airlines with repair, overhaul, on-wing support, and spare engine support services. For airframe services, HAECO will provide maintenance support for Central Airlines in Hong Kong and Xiamen, as well as line maintenance support in the Greater China region.

The MOU also covers component maintenance cooperation, with both parties seeking to expand technical and maintenance support in areas including landing gear, composite materials, and component repair.

Mr. Liu Qiang, Vice President of Maintenance & Engineering at Central Airlines, said, “Central Airlines is pleased to partner with HAECO as we continue to grow our freighter fleet and strengthen our service offerings. Through this cooperation framework, we aim to further enhance the quality and reliability of our operations and create more value for our customers and partners.”

The signing of the MOU underscores HAECO’s commitment to supporting airline customers across the region with flexible, high-quality maintenance solutions, and reflects Central Airlines’ focus on building strong, long-term relationships with leading aviation service providers.
