Vets to Hire Program

Rewarding career opportunities for those who served their country with pride.

Program highlight

Are you a veteran interested in applying your military skills and experience towards a career in commercial aviation? Take command of your career and discover the great opportunities offered by HAECO Americas. Our company culture values military service and has created programs specifically designed to put veterans on a new career path. More

Transitioning from an armed forces lifestyle back into a civilian routine can be challenging. Here at HAECO Americas, former service members comprise nearly half of our workforce and we pride ourselves on hiring and supporting veteran talent. HAECO Americas earned the 2020 Military Friendly® Employer designation by Victory Media, with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.

Our Vets to Hire Program enables transitioning military aviation mechanics to work for HAECO through a veteran-affiliated company and creates a pipeline to employment in the aviation maintenance field.  You will work up to 90 days with a veteran-affiliated company and, with a successful work performance, you will be offered a direct position with HAECO. We provide all the required tools during this 90-day window and offer a payroll deduction program to assist with personal tool purchases if hired direct.

Your duties may include:

  • Fabricate parts as required.

  • Perform such typical maintenance operations as the removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torquing, adjusting, rigging, and safety wiring to include powerplant, and flight control removal/installation.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, clean, service, modify, replace, and/or overhaul aircraft and aircraft systems using approved data to ensure airworthiness.

  • Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Perform work within estimated hours.

  • Follow all safety procedures and specifications.

  • Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.

  • Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.

  • Work with Leads and Supervision to accomplish assignments with little or no rework.

  • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments and co-workers.

Joining our Vet to Hire Program offers you the opportunity to:
