Congratulations to Larry LaFosse, Structures Mechanic at HAECO Americas, for receiving the prestigious Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award. This distinguished honour recognises aviation professionals with 50 or more years of exceptional commitment to safety, excellence, and technical expertise. 

Larry’s aviation career began in the U.S. Navy in 1974, where he spent nine years in direct service of the warfighter, providing critical structures repair, modification and supervision services in the maintenance and inspection of 11 fixed and rotary wing aircraft.  Transitioning to civil aviation in 1983, Larry accumulated extensive experience in several defence and civil aviation sectors before joining HAECO, where he has contributed his expertise for the past 25 years.

Larry remarked, "Take pride in what you do. Be responsible and hold yourself accountable for your work and your actions. Do it for the right reasons, to protect the people who are flying in and under the aircraft. Keep an open mind to listen and learn from everyone you can."  

Throughout his career, Larry has been celebrated for his profound technical skills, reliability, and dedication to mentoring colleagues, reinforcing HAECO’s core values.
