HAECO is strengthening its commitment to aviation talent development in Vietnam through a new partnership with the University of Economics – Technology for Industries (UNETI). A newly signed Memorandum of Understanding will see the two organisations work together to give engineering students greater exposure to practical aviation knowledge, technologies and industry practices.
Drawing on HAECO’s industry experience and UNETI’s academic foundation, the partnership will help students bridge the gap between classroom learning and the professional requirements of the aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sector. Areas of collaboration are expected to include applied training programmes, educational equipment for practical instruction, knowledge sharing by HAECO specialists and workplace exposure.
The partnership supports HAECO’s preparations for its new aircraft maintenance facility at Van Don International Airport, targeted to commence operations in late 2028. Together with HAECO’s MoU with the School of Mechanical Engineering at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, it forms part of a broader effort to build a sustainable pipeline of local technical talent and support the growth of Vietnam’s aviation sector.
