HAECO Xiamen and COMAC Sign Training Co-operation Framework Agreement

Mr Zhao Yuerang, Vice President of COMAC (first row, 5th from right), Summit Chan, CEO of HAECO Xiamen (first row, 5th from left) and senior management of HAECO Xiamen along with the students of “The 9th Class of COMAC Airlines Maintenance Operation and Aircraft Type Familiarisation Training in 2017”.

Mr Wu Guanghui, Vice President of COMAC (first row, 4th from right), Louis Lai, Director of Operations of HAECO Xiamen (first row, 4th from left) and management of HAECO Xiamen along with the students of “The 10th Class of COMAC Airlines Maintenance Operation and Aircraft Type Familiarisation Training in 2017”.

HAECO Xiamen and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (“COMAC”) have recently signed a training co-operation framework agreement. Under the agreement, HAECO Xiamen Technical Training Centre, a CCAR-147, HKAR-147 and EASA Part-147 approved aircraft maintenance training organisation, will become a key training base for the continuous development of COMAC’s personnel. HAECO Xiamen will utilise its extensive experience and resources in training within the aviation industry to deliver a series of aviation-focused theoretical and practical training courses to COMAC.

Since 2008, HAECO Xiamen Technical Training delivered over 240,000 student-courses for in-house and external customers. The Company has also recently welcomed the 1,000th student from COMAC. Leveraging its experience in management and type rating training, HAECO Xiamen will support COMAC in setting up and developing its maintenance training system and practical training facilities, as well as nurturing in-house instructors. HAECO Xiamen and COMAC will collaborate on designing maintenance training and type rating training courses, and share training resources for COMAC aircraft types.

Starting from the basic skills in maintaining aircraft components, HAECO Xiamen and COMAC are committed to working together in progressively nurturing well-rounded aircraft engineering professionals who will serve the Chinese aviation industry’s growing needs for aircraft design, manufacturing and customer service personnel.

This framework agreement signifies a step up in the co-operation between HAECO Xiamen and COMAC, which will forge a closer partnership between the two companies.
