HAECO Xiamen Technical Training has been selected by AVIC International to deliver customised aircraft maintenance training for overseas airline customers.

The business partners welcomed the first group of students from Asian, African and South American airlines in August. The customised training was held over two weeks and consisted of a five-day theoretical module providing a general introduction to the Chinese civil aviation industry, followed by a five-day practical module introducing standard practices in aircraft maintenance for mechanical and avionics specialists, as well as a familiarisation tour of HAECO Group facilities in Xiamen.

The HAECO Xiamen Technical Training Centre was established in 2008 and has delivered over 225,000 student-courses to date, including 37,500 to external customers. HAECO Xiamen Technical Training Centre has HKAR-147, CCAR-147 and EASA Part-147 training approvals and is committed to supporting the aviation industry in Mainland China and the wider Asia Pacific region.

Jin Xing, Vice President of Civil Aircraft Division of AVIC International, said: “Through this training initiative, AVIC has sought to provide an opportunity for our overseas partners to become better acquainted with the civil aviation industry in China as well as AVIC’s civil aircraft product portfolio, paving the way for future collaboration.”

Summit Chan, CEO of HAECO Xiamen, said: “We are very privileged to have established a training partnership with AVIC International. One of our missions is to support the development of aircraft engineering and maintenance personnel in China and abroad. We look forward to working closely with AVIC to support their technical training needs in the future.”
