HAECO’s Calibration and Metrology Centre Obtains ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation

HAECO Group announced today that its Calibration and Metrology Centre has obtained ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation, with its processes and competence meeting the required standard as certified by the International Accreditation Service (“IAS”), a leading accreditation body in the United States.

ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories. Having reached this internationally recognised standard, HAECO’s Calibration and Metrology Centre can provide calibration services that meet the requirements from the European Aviation Safety Agency (“EASA”) for foreign Part-145 approval holders as per EASA’s latest user guide, as well as many other national aviation authorities. The accreditation is also an endorsement of the high-quality work that HAECO’s Calibration and Metrology Centre provides.

Located at HAECO’s Tseung Kwan O facility, the Calibration and Metrology Centre is one of Asia Pacific’s leading calibration laboratories, providing calibration services for aviation-related in-house tooling and external aviation customers as well as for local government services. The scope of services covers dimensional, mechanical, thermal, electrical, time and frequency, with full traceability.

Clement Au, General Manager of HAECO Component Overhaul, said: “We are excited to have obtained ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation via IAS. This achievement validates our technical competence, and also reaffirms our Calibration and Metrology Centre’s operation at the highest level of ethical, legal and technical standards. This accreditation, together with our expertise and vast experience, enables us to continuously provide the highest-quality calibration services to airlines and customers in the Asia Pacific region.”
