      The Opening of Taikoo Sichuan

      The official opening ceremony of Taikoo Sichuan Aircraft Engineering Services Company Limited (Taikoo Sichuan) was held on 20th August 2010. It was attended by senior Sichuan Province and Chengdu government officials, the Chief Engineer of the Civil Aviation Administration of China Southwest Region and other local dignitaries. Taikoo Sichuan is a joint venture between HAECO (40%), TAECO (9%), Sichuan Airlines Group (42%) and Sichuan Haite High-Tech Co. Ltd. (9%). Located at the northern end of the runway at the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, the company provides heavy maintenance and other engineering services for Airbus aircraft. The project will be developed by phases. Phase One is a single bay, narrow-body hangar, with a capacity to accommodate a single A320/321 aircraft.
