HAECO is well known throughout the aviation industry for its extensive capability on Boeing and Airbus aircraft covering B747, B757, B767, B777 and A320, A330, A340, and offers comprehensive maintenance service packages including CPCP programme, SSID programme, AD inspection, mandatory modification and avionics system upgrades. Over the years, HAECO Base Maintenance Division has developed maintenance expertise on a range of aircraft including new generation aircraft such as Airbus A340-500/600 and in the near future the experience will be expanded onto the B777-300ER. HAECO is the only provider of base maintenance services at the Hong Kong International Airport.

HAECO's sheet metal shop is responsible for repair and fabrication of structural parts including nacelles during aircraft overhaul, modification and conversion. Training is done in-house in its customised Technical Training School. Courses include technical training, license and aircraft type training and management development programmes. Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd., with five double-bay B747-size hangars in Xiamen,
China, complements HAECO's major maintenance capability, which includes conversion of Boeing's 747-200/-300 models to special freighters, and 747-400 passenger aircraft to Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) with the use of Boeing licence and 737-300/-400 passenger aircraft to freighter using PEMCO STC. The sixth hangar is planned for operation
by mid 2009. TAECO also provides line maintenance in Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen.
