HAECO
is awarded ‘Best MRO in Asia’ at the 2010 Aircraft
Technology Engineering & Maintenance (ATEM) Awards,
organized by UBM Aviation. The awards ceremony was held in
conjunction with Aviation Industry Group’s flagship event,
the Airline Purchasing & Maintenance Expo, which took place
in London on 5-6 May. Colin Hall, Managing Director of UBM
Aviation Exhibitions, said, “Our congratulations to all the
winners, who have proved they have what it takes to be the
best in the commercial aviation market. The results of these
awards are based entirely on the votes of people in the MRO
supply chain industry, so it is a testament to every company
which made it to the shortlist that they are truly valued by
their customers.”

HAECO Named "Airframe MRO Centre of the Year"
HAECO
has been named ‘Airframe MRO Centre of the Year’ at the 2010
Asia Pacific Aerospace & Defence Awards held in Singapore on
4 February. The award, organised by leading international
growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan, underscores
HAECO’s commitment to set new standards in the provision of
maintenance, repair and overhaul services. Since its
inception in 2008, the Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan
Aerospace & Defence Awards has recognised outstanding
performance by aviation industry companies in regional and
global markets, ‘The Airframe MRO Centre of the Year’ title
is awarded to an exceptional service provider that has
exhibited strong growth within and beyond its traditional
borders. The awards are based on in-depth market research
that compares the performance of a range of industry
participants.

DUNLOP TAIKOO OFFICIALLY OPENED FOR BUSINESS
HAECO and TAECO today enter into
partnership with Dunlop Aircraft Tyres to open a new
retread and distribution facility in China. The facility, operating as Dunlop Taikoo (Jinjiang)
Aircraft Tyres Company Limited, is based in Jinjiang, Fujian Province, the
operation has full site and product approval from the Civil
Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and has also received full repair-station approval from EASA. In addition
to the retreading of aircraft tyres, the facility will
support customers in Asia Pacific by distributing new tyres
that have been made at Dunlop Aircraft Tyres' manufacturing
site in Birmingham, U.K.

LANDING GEAR JOINT VENTURE OPENED IN XIAMEN
Taikoo (Xiamen) Landing Gear Services
Company Limited, China's first company to provide
comprehensive repair/overhaul
services to landing gear and related systems, opened in Xiamen on 14 Jun. It is a joint
venture between HAECO, TAECO, Xiamen Aviation Industry,
Cathay Pacific Airways, Japan Airlines International,
CAL-Asia Investment Inc, Xian Aircraft International and
Shaanxi Liaoyuan Hydraulic System, and is fully committed to be
Asia-Pacific region's largest landing gear repair service centre.

HELPS VICTIMS OF SICHUAN EARTHQUAKE
HAECO's staff donation programme
which aims to help the victims of the catastrophic
earthquake in Sichuan has received overwhelming support from
the staff. Together with the Company's matching contribution, the
sum donated by HAECO totals HK$2.17 million. The donation has gone to "Hospital
Authority Charitable Foundation" for Sichuan quake relief.

AIRBUS TO PROVIDE TAECO WITH EXPERTISE FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF CABIN COMPLETION CENTRE
Airbus signed an agreement with
Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (TAECO) to
help create a cabin completion centre in China for Airbus
corporate and business jets. Airbus will assist TAECO
in training of its personnel in such areas as supplier
network development, engineering and design, and aircraft
cabin conversion, in order to enable TAECO to become
qualified as a potential supplier for Airbus' Cabin Completion business.
Upon the completion of the project, TAECO will become the first approved
"Cabin Completion Centre"
for Airbus corporate and business jets in China as well as
in Asia.

HAECO AND SPIRIT AEROSYSTEMS TEAM TO OVERHAUL 777 TRENT 800
THRUST REVERSERS FOR CATHAY PACIFIC
HAECO has teamed up with
Spirit AeroSystems, the Trent 800
nacelle and thrust reverser original equipment manufacturer,
to provide overhaul, repair, and modification services for
Boeing
777 Trent 800 thrust reversers.
Spirit
will oversee the administration, supply the rotable assets,
and
HAECO
to
perform the actual service work at its
component
workshop in Tseung Kwan O (TKO).
The cooperation will enhance HAECO's composite repair
capability and become one of the few overhaul shops in the
world which is capable of repair and overhaul of Trent 800
thrust reversers.

fund-raising mission. HAECO has been a long-term

 FIFTH HANGAR FOR TAECO
Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (TAECO), a subsidiary of HAECO, opens its fifth hangar today which can accommodate two wide-bodied aircraft. This will expand TAECO capacity to ten wide-bodied aircraft and four narrow-bodied aircraft simultaneously.

HAECO JOINS AIRBUS MRO NETWORK
HAECO/TAECO has signed an agreement with Airbus to become a member of the Airbus MRO Network. The Airbus MRO Network ensures a worldwide availability of competitive, quality maintenance services from MRO providers with Airbus aircraft experience. "Joining the MRO Network will provide us with a great opportunity to work closer with Airbus and participate in their initiatives, which will benefit both HAECO and the services we provide to our customers and other Airbus operators" says P. TAECO OPENS FOURTH HANGAR TAECO REDELIVERS NEWLY CONVERTED BCF TO BOEING TAECO & BOEING SIGNED MOU FOR ADDITIONAL BCF CONVERSIONS
Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (TAECO), a subsidiary of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (HAECO), opened its fourth hangar on 19th Dec, 2005. At its opening ceremony, TAECO also handed over the brand new 747-400 BCF, or Boeing Converted Freighter, to Cathay Pacific Airways, the BCF's launch customer. On the same day, Boeing and TAECO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for 17 additional conversions. Following finalisation of a firm contract by both parties, this latest cooperation will increase the potential number of 747-400BCF conversions to be performed by TAECO to 50.

ORBIS' Flying Eye Hospital recently visited Hong Kong on a fund-raising mission in October 2005. HAECO has been a big supporter of ORBIS for many years offering logistics support whenever the DC-10 aircraft comes to Hong Kong. Paul Forrest, Head of ORBIS in Hong Kong, said that "without HAECO's assistance, we wouldn't be able to share what we do with our donors and we certainly wouldn't be able to raise the necessary new funds needed to give more people back their sight. HAECO is a wonderful friend of ORBIS."  HAECO GIVES SUPPORT TO TSUNAMI SURVIVORS
The Management and Staff of HAECO had launched a staff donation programme, in which the Company pledged to match staff donations dollar for dollar. Together with the Company's matching contribution, the donation totaled HK$1.2 million. The donation has gone to "Hong Kong Red Cross - South Asia Relief Fund" to help the tsunami survivors.

JAPAN AIRLINES AWARDED CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION TO HAECO
HAECO, by rendering ramp equipment services to Japan Airlines (JAL), achieved the record of 10,000 flights ramp incident free and four years ramp incident free for the airline. As a token of gratitude, JAL awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to HAECO.
